When a long-time customer of Mervis industries made the decision to establish a manufacturing facility in Mexico, the company asked Mervis to be a part of their new venture. The company's experience in developing innovative, total recycling solutions with the Mervis team was so positive they wanted to continue the work a little further south. The Mervis team said yes.

Not only did the Mervis staff have to be bilingual, they committed to becoming bi-cultural. Working as a Maquila in Mexico and operating a sister facility in Brownsville, the Mervis team learned all the customs and regulations of doing business in the Rio Grande Valley and Mexico. They established an in-house import-export division to complete the complex paperwork required to manufacture, process and export materials to and from Mexico.

Since 1993, Mervis has been operating in Texas and Mexico and the facilities have grown exponentially . . . from 5,000 square feet to over 100,000 square feet of warehouse and processing space. Most importantly, Mervis has built on its 75+-year reputation as a company of integrity and cultural understanding in both countries.
